What are the benefits of fitting alloy wheels?
A set of alloy wheels will improve the appearance of your vehicle and in so doing will make your vehicle stand out from the crowd. Alloy wheels will reduce the unstrung weight of a vehicle compared to one fitted with standard steel wheels. The benefit of reduced unstrung weight is more precise steering as well as a nominal reduction in fuel consumption. Alloy is an excellent conductor of heat, improving heat dissipation from the brakes, reducing the risk of brake failure under demanding driving conditions. When buying alloy wheels using the “up-stepping principle”, there is an improvement in the steering response and road holding, especially when cornering.

 

I have found my perfect alloy but it isn't available for my car. Can you help?
If for any reason you can’t find your alloys, the size isn’t right, the colour isn’t right, they don’t make them for my car….please do not panic, simply contact us and we may be able to help. Due to our immense buying power and contacts within the alloy wheel manufacturing industry, we can usually source, supply or tailor-make almost any product you have seen, in any size, fitment or colour. Of course we will endevour to do this within reasonable tolerances of the price shown but please understand sometimes an extra fee is applicable for bespoke work. We will always notify you in regards to cost before proceeding.

 

How long does delivery take and what time should I expect it?
Delivery to the UK mainland is between 2-3 working days or a next working day service can be selected. Delivery to Scottish Highlands, Northern and Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands will take around 3-4 working days. Please allow up to 2 extra working days for unseen circumstances or around holiday periods.

Times are based on all orders placed before 3pm. You will be given an indication of delivery times once your order has been processed.

Delivery is normally made between the hours of 8am and 6pm. If you require a specific delivery time please contact us. We do not deliver wheels outside the UK or Ireland.

 

My order has not arrived yet, can I track it?
Don’t worry. Please contact us. We will find out the status of your delivery and sort out any issues.

 

What happens if nobody is in to receive the delivery, can you deliver to my work address?
The courier driver may try to leave the goods with a neighbour. In most cases the goods will be returned to the local depot for collection or re-delivery. You will be notified by a contact card left in your post box.

We can deliver to a place of work. If paying by paypal please make sure you change the address before you send the payment.

 

Which methods of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit / debit cards which are processed by PayPal, or you may pay with a PayPal account. Please do not send cash in the post.

 

Which is your preferred method of payment and which is the safest?
All our online payments are instant and very secure. We use PayPal as our payment gateway and our website is vetted daily by RealSSL. During an online payment procedure through the Direct Alloys website your details will never be revealed to any member of staff.

 

Paypal wont let me pay for my goods?
In most cases you need to upgrade your paypal account by verifying your bank and address etc. This process takes a few days and we recommend paying by credit / debit card if this happens. The most secure way to pay is online.

 

What do I do if I receive an item that is damaged or incompatible?
In case of damaged items, please sign for the item as damaged then contact us on 0844 504 0111. We will arrange for a replacement to be sent ASAP. We will also collect the damaged item free of charge.

In the rare event that your items are incompatible, do not try to fit them. Please contact us and we will arrange a solution.

 

How long do I have to report a damaged or incompatible item and then how do I return it?
Please report them straight away. All faulty or incompatible items need to be reported within 1 week upon receipt.

To return the item contact us and we will arrange collection. All you need to do is package the wheels up the best you can so they don’t get damaged in transit.

 

What happens if my item develops a fault?
All our wheels come with a minimum 1 year warranty period. This covers faults in the wheel caused by manufacturing problems. Please report all faults and warranty claims to us and we will advise on the best solution for you. Please note: there is no warranty on chrome or polished finishes.

 

How long does it take to receive a refund or replacement?
Refunds normally take 5-7 days upon receipt of items. Replacements will depend on stock levels and availability but in most cases are next day.
