Fitting Guide

At Direct Alloys we aim to be a company of constant improvement and evolution, therefore this list of applications is not exhaustive. If you cannot find the application you require, please contact our sales team to obtain the up-to-date information. Almost all of the wheels listed on this site require the use of a fitting kit which comprises of: 4 centre rings and 12, 16 or 20 wheel nuts or bolts as appropriate.

Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein. This is why we check and double check your vehicle details are 100% correct before we fit any tyres to your wheels.

1. DELIVERY

Please check that the wheels are not damaged due to incorrect handling.(Any claims for damage or incorrect supply must be reported within 24 hours)

Check that the wheels and fitting kits are complete and in accordance with your order.

The stud pattern (P.C.D) is correct.

The contents of the fitting kit is correct and fits the vehicle hubs correctly.

The wheel brace fits correctly.

WE WILL CHECK THE ABOVE POINTS BEFORE YOUR ORDER IS PROCESSED. FAILURE TO PROVIDE ACCURATE VEHICLE INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN FAILURE AND WILL INVALIDATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS.

3. TYRE MOUNTING

At Direct Alloys we prefer to supply your alloys and tyres fully fitted and balanced. If you have ordered them separately then please follow step 3 and 4, otherwise proceed to step 5.

Before fitting any tyre ensure the suitability of the tyre for the application including size, load capacity and inflation pressure.

The tyre sizes given in our guides are only a suggestion, it is the responsibility of the person fitting the tyres to ensure that the correct loading and inflation pressures are used.

The use of tyres with incorrect load rating or pressures may result in damage to your alloy wheels and will invalidate our warranty.

Ensure that the correct wheel and tyre combination is being fitted to the application.

Never put the wheels down on the styling side to avoid damage.

Use tyre mounting equipment with a rotating head and upper bead sear breaker that does not touch the wheel.

Standard tyre lubricants must be used.

DO NOT USE MANUAL MOUNTING EQUIPMENT. DAMAGE TO WHEELS CAUSED BY TYRE FITTING MACHINES WILL INVALIDATE ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS.

4. BALANCING

We advise the use of the back cone method of mounting the wheels when balancing.

It is recommended that self adhesive ‘stick on’ balance weights are used. This will ensure the protective lacquer coating on the wheel remains intact.

5. WHEEL FITTING

Check all of the clearances outlined in step 2, when the tyres have been fitted to the wheels.

Ensure that the hubs, studs and mounting faces are clean and free from burrs.

Using the Fitting Kit appropriate to your vehicle, press the hub centre ring (Spigot Ring) into the centre of the wheel according to the instructions. Using the wheel nuts/bolts supplied in the Fitting Kit, tighten them diagonally to the torque figure recommended in your vehicle handbook.

Do not damage the bolt holes when fitting the wheels.

Tighten the nuts / bolts after 50 miles, and check at regular intervals.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE ABOVE GUIDELINES WILL INVALIDATE YOUR WARRANTY
